Hi all
Just wondered what your funniest pet names were...
My husband gave our hamsters the name of Pot Roast.. (why I have no idea, but it stuck).
And my friend went to the pet shop to buy a bird and came back with a rabbit, who she then called budgie.
Luv Dawn xx

however, my friends mother works for the RSPCA and she always gives her animals brilliant names! a couple that spring to mind are:
Sir Oswald Twisle ~ a blind hampster LOL

Hey Scotty what a fab name. I love the film by the same name and think it it was of the best films ever made.
My mom once had a big homeless black and white entire tom cat she used to feed and I named him Felix Mustapha which became Muz for short. I got this name as I was a children's librarian and there was a picture book called 'Grandma, Felix, Mustapha and the biscuit'- a funny title but it stuck in my mind.
Sorry to say that our milkman told us Muz had been killed on a busy road when visiting one of his several owners.
There was also this big mean black male cat over the road who used to have a go at you if you got in his way. I called him Pork Pie, but later found out his name was Ricky. Pork Pie suited him far better-meaty, solid and round!!!
At the moment mom has another cat 'visiting' her, although he lives down the road with a family called the Bagnalls. Consequently, we call him Baggy, but have since found out his real name is Sparky.Funny thing is he answers to Baggy and not Sparky.
Have you noticed our family are ones for homeless/ other people's cats. In my time I've had about 9 cats and only once have I actually chosen one.. they rest have chosen us! Bronnie x

OMG I could go on here forever...
My nan had an Irish wolfhound and his name was Jonathon, and a Lurcher called Lucy.... at the moment she has a Bouvier Des flanders ( dog the size of a table and curly all over) - it's called WHISPER ! My nan is the Queen of odd names for her pets.. Ruben, Samantha, Cleo, Rhagfyr (december in welsh), all dogs.
My partners cousin used to have a cat called Alice Mangle. Alice from Alice Cooper and Mangle from Mrs Mangle from neighbours. (dont ask me why)
His family are rubbish at naming pets... Mostly they get called their colour.. ie Sandy, blackie, whitey, Sooty....... I was surprised by the cat!
I feed two outside moggy boys .. they dont belong to anyone Jimi Hendrix.. and Jimmy Floyd..... Mainly because we couldnt tell them apart ! and we called them both Jimmy to begin with!
My friend a rabbit when we were kids and his name was Rab C. Nesbit......
and both my guinees were called WWEEEk-WEEEEk lol]]luv Claud xx

Hi I'm here again with another cat story.
One of my fave cats was a black long haired Persian type..he was sooo adorable. His original owners called him Grenko (why does anyone know?) but they didn't pay much attention to him and having given him a taste of Sheba he moved in with me. It was early 1992, so I renamed him Frederick Bulsara after the great Freddie Mercury who had recently died. Daft Bronnie xx
