Hi all We do not have any pets in our household, but my daughter keeps asking for one.... her friends have them. She did have a hampser once but he was a bit of a biter so it's put us off small rodent types until our little one is older. My husband is allergic to dogs / cats and we are concerned that outdoor pets my get attacked by the foxes that come over from the fields from the back. So does anyone have any ideas on a suitable pet for us Luv Dawn xx

Hi Dawn
I have 2 RATS they are the best pets ever they never bite can be housetrained and are robust enough to be handled by children. When they are babies they are tiny so by the time they grow you love them so are not thinking they are awful I will put a pick of them on here with the kids as they are always in one of their pockets are hoods.

Aaaawwwhhh yes i agree with Zoe. Rats are adorable. I had my Alexis for 3 years until she died last year. She used to love to come out and run round the sofa while i was sat watching tele and climb onto me and her whiskers would tickle my ear.

Hi Lisa Photo's coming in fact there downstairs at the minute so I'll take them now while there out. Rats are really intelligant clean animals LIsa so if you get a cat littler tray and like a dog keep putting them in it they know thats where they POO! My kids have trained them to race up the stairs they put food at the top and once the Millie and Toska realised that they get a treat every time they are put on the stairs they race to the top. They are really funny cute little creatures. Zoe (i'll get the pics)

Oooh painful ... ummm I like rats and guinea pigs ... I had them as a kid. I had most of the rodent types at one time or another..... We called the guinea pigs the WEEEEEEEK WEEEEEKS coz of the noise they make Hamsters are cool too ... they are my favourtite of the rodent world, coz they are sooo soft and nuzzley, tho some of them can be biters. I have had five rabbits along the way and imo you have to choose wisely because some of them dont like being handled. and if you have kids thats what they want to do. I dont like birds but wot about a budgie ... claud xx

i have two hammys . i love them to bit ones called boris cos i love that name and maisy they live in seperate cages and live in the computer room. ok i know im 28 and maybe too old for a hamster but i have always had one since i was 8 . its funny cos they are really vocal and if you talk too loud they squeel and go off on one . they really amuse me.

He lives in the bathroom because its always warm in there ..its a hard life.. NOT
