Hi everyone I’ve been trying since Sunday to upload these pics so here they are at last!! Here she is at last a mini version of me on my wedding day. I know it's a touch vain, but if a girl can't indulge as a bride, when can she? Plus I don’t have a nice son like Carl to make me one, so I’ve DIYd. The doll is a clone and sold to me as a genuine Sindy on Evilbay. There was a bit of a dispute, but in the end we let it go. So to get rid of my bad feelings I decided to transform her with a reroot and face paint! She had vile stubbly hair which I've replaced with porcelain doll hair (sorry to those who love PDs) and a few saran highlights at the front. I repainted her face with green eyes to match mine and gave her rosy cheeks. The dress is made from scraps of the original silk from my own dress. It was hard to decide how to simulate the burgundy embroidery of the Mackintosh roses, but in the end I used a gel pen of all things. The shoes are as close as I could get, with ribbon holding on the buckles. As for the wonderful tiara and necklace these were made especially for me by dear Lisa. In fact she made these first and these were my inspiration for the rest of the project. Hope you like her. Love Bronnie And here is my own dress on the wedding morning at my mom's.

Cheers Donna for your lovely comments.
Aaawwhh Bronnie absolute devine. You have caught the essence of your own bridal look to perfection. She is stunning just as you was yourself as a bride. A pleasure to see at last. I love her beehive do and the accessories are exquisite with the help of Lisas fine work with the jewellery.

Hi Thanks for all the lovely comments- it makes all the hard work getting the details right worthwhile. It makes me want to Just for info. I also had a big version of the bag. I wasn't pleased with the first Sindy size one I made, so this is attempt no. 2. However, I gave the first one to my special friend who is my rock and was my sort-of bridesmaid. She had a blonde 60s Sindy as a girl and loved the Rainy Days outfit, so she really liked having the little bag. Love Bronnie

Just looked properly now i am home from work Bronnie. She really is devine. You have created a mini you on your wedding day and i think she is just amazing.
I too am thinking of doing a doll of my Sister also as a bride Donna. She had the full frothy white lace decked wedding dress when she married in 1986 much to the proud delight of my Mum. I want to do it for her 25th wedding anniversary so got to wait another 3 years thos.
