I just had to share these pictures with everyone, as I'm chuffed to bit's the way that Barbie's 'perm' has turned out. ;D I just wish that I had taken a before photo, as poor Barbie's hair was in a right old state! I used fabric conditioner to wash her hair and McDonald's straws as curlers (thanks to tips that I found on here ) and left her on the radiator for a week. The curls have dropped a bit now, but I'm still really happy with the hair do. I'm currently working on another Barbie perm, but I need some advice first..... can I boil perm Barbie's hair? I don't want to try it as I'm frightened I'll make a complete mess of it. Ineke xxx

Oooh she looks fabby In, very 'superstar' on her way to a film awards ceremony! Don't know about boil perming Barbie hair - i wouldn't risk it. I've sold/selling some Barbies on Ebay at the mo - found them in a charity shop all filthy and with matted hair, i felt so sorry for them. . I've never ever had a Barbie until buying these to do up and sell but i must say you can work wonders with their hair. I brushed their hair to death pulling loads of it out in the process! washed and conditioned [used loads conditioner] combed, gently blow dried and i'll tell you their hair is sooooo soft and shiny it's amazing!!!!! For this reason i think their hair is so different to Sindy's. loadsa luv Vonny xxx xxx

WOW!! She looks as if she's just been de-boxed for the first time Ineke, so big pats on back for that perm. I would just carry on as you are and not worry about putting Barbie's head and hair in near boiling hot water as the result above is just FAB - you've certainly brought the shine and body back into her hair and that's what really counts Luv Anita xxx

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and the advice My next Barbie is on the radiator as we speak. She has thicker and longer hair than the first Barbie, so I might keep her on the radiator for a bit longer. I shall put some pix on here when she's done. Thanks again! xxx
