Hi All
Its Carl in Blackpool.
Some of you will recognise me from other forums.
I am discovering these lovely and interesting forums full of old and new Sindy loving friends.
I love all Sindys vintage and modern and I also collect Barbies and clones too. Infact you could call me a 'fashion doll junkie'. My partner Kevin is also a member on here. Introduced into the wonderful world of sindy by myself and he as never looked back. His collection of dolls is beautiful and huge in mere months.
I myself have been collecting Sindy/ other dolls for 17 years. I bought a Sindy horse from a boot sale and then had to get a rider and the rest is history. I have always loved Sindys though for a s long as i can remember. I loved them from afar as a boy wishing i could have my own and then i helped my younger sister build up her childhood collection (most of it sold at a boot sale to my dismay when she got to 13). There was no stopping me thos when i myself was 20 and didnt care what others thought and started buying my own dolls. I have been called 'sad' on the odd occassion by non doll people but isnt this a great world to be so called 'sad' in. Its wonderful isnt it. Sindy as been so much a part of my life and my dolls have seen me through the highs and lows and will continue to do so. I was only talking to my younger sister last week on the phone about this and she agreed that my dolls are such a big part of me and to be cherished as i do. The same sister who is now regretting getting rid of her Sindys.
I have lots of interest, not least too Seaside Piers, hence me living in a famous northwest seaside town with 3 of the graceful victorian structures. It would be great to photograph some of my girls on the Beautiful North Pier here, and also my fave little pier on the Lincolnshire Coast Skegness. Wouldnt i get some odd looks.
So in 17 years i have a great very many dolls and they crowd every room of my flat. Everywhere i go there are pairs of beautiful little doll eyes watching me and i am right at home.
