Hi Everybody
Although I have been a member for a while this is my first introduction. My name is Kevin and I got the Sindy bug last year. I have spent the past eight months learning all I can about our little girl and have been restoring and re-rooting for about six months. My latest Re-root is shown in the relevant thread. I am still working on several more and I will post when they have finished. Kindest regards Kevin

Thanks Nita I look forward to posting and answering threads as well. Giving rooting a rest tonight finished my Sidepart eyelashes tonight but need to rest my fingers as I seam to be very sore. thats what six hours of rooting with nylon thread does for you on a Sunday lol Kindest regards Kevin X

Hi Kev ;D I admire your tenacity for re-rooting!! I won't even attempt it, as I am too afraid that I will ruin the doll's head!!LOL Mind you, I'm not that brilliant at sewing or knitting either!! You've done a fair few re-roots of late and I do pity your poor fingers! Do you have any Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Handcream handy for your fingers? I use it a lot as I get dishwash hands something chronic and I seem to suffer worse in Winter as I have RA in my hands and fingers. I find it really helps me and perhaps it will help your fingers too! Luv Nita xxx

Hi Anita, Cheryl, Mandy
Thank you for the advice on the cream I havn't I will look out for some when I go shopping. I couldn't stop and have a rest. I have completed about half of my Titian Patch. Hopefully she will be finished by the end of the week. Thank you Cheryl for your welcolme I look forward to chatting to you and every one. Hi Mandy I work full time and don't often get home before 6.30 7pm so I squeeze the re-rooting in then. I work Saturdays usually but do get a day off in the week so I spend much of my spair time rooting at the moment and trying to aquire more re-rooting projects, though I have about six months worth here lol. usually takes me two to three days to do an 80's standard Sindy if i do nothing else but it takes a week to two weeks for a Patch or vintage Sindy with narrow neck. Kindest regards to you all Kevin x

ooh, Kevin... how much of a favour would you want in return for rerooting an 80s sindy? I don't think I'd have the patience and I've got an old doll with a drastic haircut who I think would look brilliant with a brazen colour
