Under normal circumstances I don't watch daytime tv, but with having builders around, we've had the tele on. Here's some of the stuff I've seen... Storage Wars (USA) - when rent isn't paid on a storage facility in USA, they put it up for auction and this group of folk (for the tv) bid on the units. They are not allowed to see inside prior to auction and take a punt on what they think is in there. Today the guy found 6,000 newspapers reporting Elvis Presley's death (value $19k, price paid $750). Renovation Challenge (Aus) - 4 couples have been given these terribly run down houses to do up and the best renovation wins the property. I'm hooked already. Pickers (USA) - these are the equivalent of antique dealers in the US. They go round to houses and look at collectibles, it's amazing what they find in attics and garages. Also because of the tv camera they don't fleece the seller Tabatha's Salon Takeover (USA) - Hard nosed buisnesswoman goes into failing hair salons and sorts them out. Unmissable!!! So basically I'm torn - should I give up my dayjob and try picking, renovating or storage auctions to make my fortune OR should I stay at home and watch daytime tv?

LOL! Scotty, that's true. We had It before when there were no good programs on It, him indoors drove me mad with endless " Most haunted" Now they've taken " Glee " they leave me with little choice.

Just re Whitechapel, I recommend it. But if you can catch up with the past episodes, I would. It helps explain the relationships on the show. The first series was a three part story, same for the second series.
The third series finished on Monday night. It was three separate stories.
It's a bit of a gruesome show but very entertaining. The detective team work well together.

It does look like it'll be fab doesn't it? Apparently ITV have also commissioned another costume drama, based on Selfridges when it opened and Mr Selfridge himself. It's meant to be almost like Downton in a shop!! sounds like it'll be good. It's filiming at the minute and on next year xx

Has anyone been watching Hoarders? I caught an episode the other day where a man in Birkenhead had filled his house with junk - with the help of therapy and friends he cleared it all out. Apparantly it all began with having several different collections and grew from there. There was a lady on with a damaged right arm who was also a hoarder. The camera showed her loft bedroom and the dh said to me. 'that's not anywhere as bad as our spare room with all your Sindy stuff'. Anyway I went and had a look and am pleased to say that although our upstairs room is more cluttered than the ladies loft half of it is his junk and not mine!!
