hi there im a totally new sindy collector and have just bought my first 3 items and im very excited lol its like being a kid at Christmas
im really interested in buying more things does any one have any good ideas of where to get reasonably priced items as they are for my daughter and i to be played with and loved (well really me to play with lol)
a very excited 31 year old lol ;D

Welcome Claire! I'm a very excited 36 year old just rediscovering Sindy!!!! We use a range of places to buy stuff - car boot sales, Ebay, charity shops, Gumtree/local newspaper ads, and we have GROOVYCART on here which I highly recommend! My postman has been weighed down for the last 3 days with Ebay parcels as I have sinned badly recently!
Hope you have fun with us, and check out the various messages (called threads) on here for where we have found bargains. Feel free to ask us questions if you aren't sure xx

Welcome Aboard Claire  I hope you have fun and make loads of friends here with people who share your passion for Sindy (and other brands of Fashion Doll).  Do take time to read all of the sections on the Forum, as some of them will have loads of relevant information on websites for you to visit for buying dolls, clothes and accessories.   We also have a section on here where members advertise dolls for Sale and things for swap. Sadly, at this time, no new members have Avatars and missing Avatars are not being replaced.... This is something that is beyond my control but hopefully - when Cheryl - the Forum Owner does come back online - she will do something about that. In the meantime, do have fun here and hopefully we will get to chat on the boards  Luv Anita xxx |

Hiya Claire!!  Hope that you're finding your way around the forum. I'm a very excitable 32 year old so you're in good company! I love all things Sindy.... and what started off with collecting the bits from my childhood has grown into a full scale Sindy war! LOL.... As for buying things, I think the absolute best places are Ebay and Groovycart. You can get vintage originals on there that may not be perfect but great for playing. Lots of the ladies on here sell so they could may be help you. I often list on ebay (not much at the minute as I'm going away next week) but tend to drop a note on her when I am listing. Also groovycart is FAB! no bidding on there just buy as you would any other online retailer. There are a handful of Sindy Shops on there. I have one, the link is www.groovycart.co.uk/sincerely_sindy if you fancy a look. Dolls can be picked up quite easily on ebay. Personally I've never had any luck in Charity shops. One day though maybe....  Other than that, if you're wanting some bits of new clothing for display you could try Lisa (on here) her shop on Groovycart is lovely for bespoke Sindy clothing. Also Mel who runs Retro Dolls and Sindymagic does lovely stuff. Hope to catch you around the forum. |
