It's always nice to hear from those who want to do their own OOAKs. I bought a Pedigree Sindy off ebay a few years ago; she was a OOAK and had been rerooted with lovely long hair. She was all dressed up in a rock music outfit, complete with guitar. I call her Roxy.
Since then I've slowly been adding to my collection, and I love to reroot Sindys whose hair needs a bit of help. I was slow and steady at first but I got used to it.
