Hi Am mainly a Barbie collector, but have recently become interested in Sindy too. I had several Sindy's as a child, one of which I still have, and who is in need of some serious TLC! My question is this - I used to babysit for a girl who had an Artist Sindy. She had black tights and a pink mini skirt, and came with real paints. She was probably a Hasbro, as this was in the early 90's I think. Does anyone know what the name of this doll is, and where I might be able to track her down? Many thanks Tasha

Welcome Tasha Nice to have you aboard - you will enjoy it here as we do have Barbie pics and chat on here in the Other Dolls section. The Sindy you mention is indeed late Hasbro and rather hard to come by complete. She's called Paint a Picture and is from 1989. ;D These later girls have lovely faces but the hair was always white blonde or a yellowy blonde, although a few did have glittery hair along the way too www.club-sindy.com/paintapicture_face.htmBookmark this site for use on the Later Sindys. www.club-sindy.com/hasbro_id.htmHave fun visiting here and making new friends and hope to chat with you again soon Luv Anita xxx

Hello Tasha, Welcome to the forum. I am still fairly new here myself. Barbies have their own charm which I have found uplifting. Still love to browse my Barbie books, but I grew up with Sindy. I hope you manage to find the doll you are looking for. She sounds unusual and striking.
