Hi all, dropping in to introduce myself. I am 31 years old and live in the UK. I have just recently got back into my Sindy Love! I make hand made mohair bears and I do toy restoration work on My Little Ponies frequently, selling on the toys I restore (normally on ebay or on the My Little Pony Arena). A friend asked me to do her Sindy up, even though I had mainly worked on Ponies I gave it a go, and my passion was re-woken! LOL. It made me dig out all my old Sindy's and clothes etc and since I've been googling everything Sindy to find out the names of the dolls I had. It's fab to see a photo on line to bring back memories of opening up my Sindy's on Christmas Day! The Sindys I still have here are the Royal Gala I think it's called?? Black and gold dress and white fur stoll, I have Jazz Dance (my last Sindy as my love was with the Pedigree versions!) Active Ballerina Sindy from the early eighties, Barn Dance Sindy (my first Sindy, bought for me before I was born to keep!) and the first Sindy I chose myself My Fair Lady Sindy (in Green). I've been giving them all bubble baths and getting right into being a Sindy girl again. Anyway, thats me, can't wait to meet you all, and look at your collections. Hope you're ready to chat! I love to meet new people. Lots of Love from the UK! xxxxx

Hi fiftiesbelle! Nice to meet you. I live in the Uk too. Sounds like you've been on a really exciting journey getting in touch with the sindy girl in you again! It must be really rewarding to be able to create your bears and restore toys and sindy's to their former glory. What a lovely talent you have. Your friend's a lucky girl!
The sindy bug is lethal isn't it! I have been suffering for quite a while now. I have bought two blonde ballerina's who sit about in my longe! I have some others I have slowly been collecting. But the ballerinas are my favouties.
I went google mad as well looking up sindy! Know what you mean by memories being stirred of Christmas day and unwrapping sindy and her clothes packets. I still remember ripping the paper off in excitement and proudly walking around with her for ages afterwards!
Loved that you gave them bubble baths! Expect they appreciated that after all this time. A girl likes to feel clean!
Sorry to ramble on. I got carried away! Looking forward to hearing more sindy stories and discoveries.
Love Kathryn.

Not at all Kathryn!! I'm a chatting rambler too. I love being able to bring something back to life with a bit of love and care. The ponies are nice to do and are appreciated by the collectors, but I just love to do the sindys. I've been enjoying the Sun today sat in the back garden making some new clothes for them! =) Hope to speak to you again. =)) And see some pics of those ballerina's xxx
