Welcome, I am one of the many people who started off buying what I had as a child and now have more dolls than I ever had! So take care, its addictive! Its a very useful site to start out on though and has helped me a lot. Im sure you will enjoy it, and look forward to hearing from you again.

:)Welcome to the forum and good luck on building up your collection. Enjoy and as been said it can be addictive as most of us outnumber hundreds of times over what we originally started off with unless being very strict with how we collect.
I started off my partner Kevin with just one doll of his own and within a couple of weeks he had more and three and a half years later his own collection is vast.

Hi alyson thanks for replying! I have been reading the site all night and have barely skimmed the surface, wow there's lots to see! To 'celebrate' joining I bought myself a bed on Ebay today (Sindy of course!) ;D I have wanted one for ages! I also collect Barbies but Sindy was my first love!As a child I also had a daisy, havoc, jenny, pippa (I still have her) and others as well as lots of bigger dolls like Tiny Tears etc. I was a real 'dolly' girl! I think I am now having a second childhood and enjoying it immensely! You would have enjoyed the Convention held by retro dolls Melanie last month, look out for notices for the next one. As well as Sindy, Pippa and Daisy were there too! I have re-acquired a Tiny Tears too, in fact Tiny Tears started it all off for me really. I saw my girls Tiny Tears, thought she wasnt as nice as mine was and started to look for one ... the rest is history and you'll have read a lot about it on the forum. There are some great links on the forum too which will help you identify your purchases or even show you places to buy stuff from!

Hey thanks for saying hello to me! thought I'd pop in and return the welcome. I've just bought a few sindy bits on ebay (well 4 outfits and a crazy amount of bidding!LOL) and I too am looking for the ones that I had as a child. Just been sat out in the sun mending all the clothes I already have and doing them all up =) My Poor Pony restorations have gone on a big hold!! =) looking forward to seeing your photo when you get it on. Hello faeriegirl.
Nice to meet you. I am really pleased you still have your childhood sindy and have given her a name. I named all my childhood sindys.
I started my collection from ebay too. I am on the hunt for my childhood dolls as well, and was surprised at how pleased and satisfied I felt when they arrived. My inner little girl finally holding a replica of her favourite doll I suppose!
I love all dolls and still have my childhood tiny tears doll. Have often seen them on ebay and been tempted.
Looking forward to hearing about your expanding collection.
Love Kathryn.
