Hi Pedigree girl!
Nice to meet you. I know what you mean by everyone being so helpful. It always feels so friendly and cosy here.
Gives me a lift whenever I log on. Love to read about other sindy fans experiences and collections. Looking forward to hearing about yours!
Love Kathryn.

Hello Becky!
Nice to meet you. Thank you for your thoughtful words. It was really sweet of you.
I' am glad you've still got your doll and hope she enjoyed her bubble bath! Not something every sindy can boast! It's cosy having them around isn't it.
I hope you find her a nice leotard and ballet shoes. I think Sindy Magic sell leotards but I 'am not sure they sell the original ones. It's been a while since I've been there and I had a bit of trouble the other day getting back.
My fantasy would be to have blondes, and brunettes, in the pink, lilac and white. Afterwards adding some re-rooted girls because they have tempted me and have their own cuteness!
I could go mad and have to restrain myself which is a struggle. I have to save for my raven beauty ballerina! Looking forward to chatting more along the way.
Love kathryn.

Hi Kathryn and welcome! I hope you'll find a ballerina soon! Sometimes there are bargains, usually from people who do not know about dolls Then, you could try to reroot others by yourself! It's so amusing! ioanna

Hello ioanna, Nice to meet you. Thank you for the welcome and the kind words about finding my dream Sindy! I have thought that she may turn up in unexpected places, so I am keeping an eye out. I have also thought about having a go at reroot, but I am still a bit worried I may make a dog's dinner out of it. Er, the smilie may seem a bit mad, but I wanted to include a different one and struggled. He's meant to be dancing! Reminds me of John Travolta and Uma Thurman in a film I can't remember the name of! Think I may be addicted to smilies! Love kathryn.

Hi Kathryn, I have not been on here long either - and I don;t post much. But hello....
As for finding your wanted doll - don't worry! You will get one at the price you want to pay - HONEST! I think Sindy is much easiere to collect that vintage Barbie as they really do pop up in charity shops, boot sales and antique markets. I'm mainly a dealer now - and a manufacturer - but I've had fantastic finds just by keeping my beady eyes open, and I am sure many people on here have too! Now - I just have to find a Bild Lilli for 50p and I will be happy.....

Hello rosered, Its nice to meet you. Thank you for the welcome. It's really thoughtful of you, and my other welcomers. I really appreciate it. It's cheering to come across another friendly post, especially as you don't post often. Thank you for your encouragement and reasurance in finding my doll. The journey to becoming a dealer is intriguing but to become a manufacturer as well is quite an achievement. It must give you another perspective viewing it from both sides. A bild lilli sounds really familiar. Isn't she a very rare vintage barbie, I am not certain, but I think that's what she is. I hope you find her, especially for 50p! Love kathryn.

Manufacturing is - hmmmm - challenging! Bearing in mind neither my friend and I had any idea what we were doing! We make a Bild Lilli copy - at the moment we are between productions as we changed the head mold.
Quite a few collectors used to become dealers - but it's quite hard work now. Barbie is pretty dead - and finding stuff is hard. That's why we decided to make our own doll - and we hope to continue improving and developing her, but it is quite labour intensive as they are hand finished. ( All the bodies have to be painted, the faces done, the hair put in by hand - there have been terrible traumas!) I do bodies, shoes and hair, my friend can do faces - he's got really good!

Hello rosered. I think to go ahead without much prior knowledge is really brave of you. Iam sure few would travel the path you have been on. There must have been quite a few setbacks along the way, as setting up such a unique undertaking as you and your friend have done can't have been easy. It must also be very satisfying when things turn out well, especially with the creativity involved. I would love to see the finished doll. I hope it all turns out well for you as I am sure it will. Love kathryn.
