Hello everyone. I was really pleased to discover this website. I have been slowly building up my collection of Sindy's to replace the ones that were stolen I had kept from my childhood. I love all sindy's but have a soft spot for the ballerina's. They look so cute when they are posing! I am after an active brunette ballerina but they seem so expensive these days. Their prices seem to have shot up recently so I keep missing out. Guess I have to wait and content myself for a while looking at pictures of her. I find these dolls strangely comforting and pleasing to look at. She has an endearing simple charm and innocence which is uniquely hers. I can't bring myself to put the ones I have on my seette away. Think they feel they have as much right to live here as I do! Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, and come out of the shadows at last. I have really enjoyed the comments and pictures. There is a helpful friendliness here which is cheering. Reminds me of sindy herself! Look forward to spending more enjoyable hours on this friendly forum. Kathryn.

Hi Kathryn Welcome aboard.... I will apologise in advance that there are no personalized Avatars available to members just now. Cheryl - the Owner of the site - has been absent for a while and she is the person that usually sorts those things out for us. That said, I hope you enjoy visiting here and will make loads of new friends who all enjoy Sindy as much as you ;D Luv Anita xxx

Hello again. Thanks for the friendly greeting Alysonpeaches, Anna, Anita and Liz.
No worries Anita about the personalised Avatar. I am so new to computer technology it is all daunting. The Sindy's do look really cute though. Their little images staring out.
I always find this such a cheering place to come.
Kathryn x.

Hello Susan.
Nice to meet you. Thank you for your kind words. It has helped replacing them. Though I still long for my old brunette ballerina. Have to save for that one!
I have tried to use the little purple faces. Liked yours. But it wouldn't work. Would put a downcast face in here but don't know how to! Irony!
It's really nice to find a haven of like minded souls who love dolls and don't think I am a bit mad or over compensating for a doll deprived childhood!
Glad you feel the same way about sindy being comforting! Look forward to chatting more as well and finding out about you and your dolls!
Love Kathryn X

Hi Kathryn! Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear that your Sindy dolls were stolen! :oI also love the Brunette Ballerina Sindy, my first Sindy when I was little was one of those. I no longer have her But I did get a lovely one that is very similar from ebay But I don't have a ballerina outfit for her. My Ballerina is the late 1970s model. I hope you find a nice ballerina Sindy soon. Luv Natasha

Hi Natasha!
Only just found your thread! Thank you for the warm welcome and thoughtful words. I really appreciate it.
Nice to meet another fellow brunette ballerina sindy lover! Those ballerinas, especially the brunettes are a bit special arn't they! You can never forget a ballerina! She was my favourite. I have seen a few on ebay, but I am waiting for the prices to dip. Glad you managed to snap one up though. They deserve to be loved! It is tricky finding ballet outfits for them. I have noticed that biding on them can sometimes be surprisingly competitive. Or was it only when I was looking? Sorry I still don't know how to do the purple faces yet! Feel a bit stupid saying this as I am sure it is really easy. Have had a bit of a go but the purple faces and I havn't got on! I liked yours though!
Looking forward to hearing more about your dolls and ebay experiences!
love Kathryn.

Hiya! just joined today too. I've been digging all my old bits out and having a really good sort out. I'm so sorry you lost your Sindys. That is really awful. I'm luck and I had a brunette Sindy Active Ballerina as a child. She is sat in the kitchen having not long since had a bubble bath. But we all have our searches, I may still have the doll, but trying to find her leotard and ballet shoes. I think they are long gone =( Hope we manage to catch up on here. Look forward to chatting with you. Becky xx
