Hi. Newbie here. I collect Tammy here in the USA. I have two Sindys that were made in the US by Marx in the late seventies, but I am hoping to acquire early 1960s Sindys and their clothes to go with my collection of dolls which is really all from the early 1960s.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I only have 3 Sindys so far. Here is my miniature Hong Kong Sindy. I don't have many photos but I will post some photos of my Tammy clones once I find the appropriate spot on the board here.

Hi Charlene Your Sindy looks like one of the earliest HK Sindys and is very nice Do you have any of the English (MIE) Sindys yet? Looking forward to seeing your Tammy pics as quite a few of us collect her too! Luv 'Nita xxx

Thanks Anita. She is very cute. And marked Made in Hong Kong on her waist. She is from 1966 I think. I have no MIE Sindys yet, but I am on the hunt. The story we hear in the US is that Pedigree approached Ideal about making a Tammy type doll and Ideal said go ahead, just change the name. And supposedly that is why the early Sindys look so much like Tammy. And that is why I like them, as I collect Tammy, my favorite childhood doll.
I hope to have a digital camera by the end of the year. Until then I only have a few photos. But I will post some of the ones I have.javascript:add("%20:)") Smiley

Hi Charlene Would love to see pictures of your tammy dolls I don't collect 60's sindy myself bar the odd one or two. But I've been fancying the early sindys for a while now and think I might venture to just have the one
