Hi All
I am a newbie and in the process of rerooting my very first Sindy in a lovely Copper Penny colour. All is going well using the knotted method.
I used to love Sindy in the 1970's/early 80's and was gutted to find that my dolls, horse & gig and swimming pool were all given away in the early 1990's!
I managed to get 2 sindys to reroot & a Horse & Gig from Ebay and all arrived well packaged in the condition I expected. So I am now on the look out for a Swimming Pool (or Leisure Pool as I think it is called).
Looking forward to reading through lots of posts to get advise.

Hello and Welcome Hilary You will find this Forum a bit quiet just now but you will find the members friendly and the threads informative. ;D Good to hear you have begun to replace your Sindy things and hope you manage to get the Leisure Pool. I never had the Horse & Gig when I was younger as I wasn't into Sindy by then (too old for dolls by then, according to family) but I have since got the set, a lot of Sindy dolls and a load of other bits since then, starting in my late 40s (now early 50s) Anyway, enjoy your time here Luv Anita xxx

Hello from another newbie. Having our Sindy's given away is sometimes what starts us off as collectors, it happened to me too. I left it 30 plus years before looking for them though! Good luck with the hair, all the best, alyson

Hi Hilary! Welcome to the forum! I gave my Sindy dolls & their stuff away when I was 18 as dad said to give them to neighbor's daughters as they liked to play with them. I started collecting Sindy again a few years ago. I used to have the horse & gig when I was a child too! I look forward to seeing your Sindy dolls & their stuff soon! Luv Natasha

Hi Hilary,
Welcome to the forum.
I only had 2 Sindy dolls as a child and some home made clothes. One of the Sindys had a broken head that my grandfather had repaired.
I still have one of the two original Sindys.
I have made up for it now and have more than I can be bothered to count.
Have fun here on the forum.
Jill x
