Hi,
My real name is Gillian - I chose the name of my first Sindy horse as my username.
Sindy was one of the dolls I had as a child. I loved horses, and so wanted the toy horses and got dolls to go with them. I had the Marx Lone Ranger figures, Action Girl and horse, Matchbox Fighting Furies, Daisy's horse (no Daisy) and Sindy and horse.
That first Sindy was a red-haired Active Sindy - one of the early ones where the hands soon came off. Looking back this was probably why I didn't like her as much as my other dolls - she couldn't hold onto reins, or a rope ladder or even a handbag. My dolls tended to be either boys or tomboys, so fashion took a back seat for me then.
Luckily, I kept all of my dolls, horses, clothes etc. I began collecting the horses again a few years back, then wanted a Sindy with hands for display and discovered the enormous range of stuff available. I now have six Sindys, two Paul, two Superhomes, quite a range of furniture and clothes, 3 Red Setters, 2 gigs, 11 horses, 2 foals and 1 pony.
Altogether, I have over 70 horses of all kinds, including Bonanza, Johnny West, Sindy, Daisy, Cassy, Anna (Champions), Pippa and other misc. If you want to know about doll's horses, just ask !
