My name is Louise and i live in manchester UK. I got my first sindy in 77 she was a blonde ballerina and i loved her from then i collected sindy and all her clothes and furniture but unfortunately gave everything away as i "grew up" all apart from my first sindy which to my joy i recently found in the loft of my parents house.

I am now totally addicted to collecting all things sindy again..and cant believe i am buying back so much of the things i gave away!! i wish i could go back and tell my twelve year old self to keep everything!!

My favourite era of Sindys are 70's and very early 80's Dolls because they are so pretty and much nicer than anything produced later I look forward to meeting other collectors on this forum

Hi Louise and welcome to the forum. I got my first Sindy's around 75-76 and love that era the most too (though I'm finding more and more that anything 'Sindy' appeals to me nowadays) ! Would love to see photo's of your collection at some point and look forward to chatting some more soon!

Oh yes we know the story well as i gave all my Sindy and others away when i hit my teens and over the last few years i have been collecting Sindy again!! and now she is here to stay .

I think you may have tried to join before, but because your account wasn't activated, your application got deleted first time around. Anyway, your second attempt was successful and you are here and posting at last ;D
You will find loads of like-minded folk here and some may even live quite near to you!! A lot of our experiences with Sindy seem to echo yours and I agree with you about travelling back in time to tell yourself not to get rid of your dolls and other stuff. I think each one of us would have done exactly the same thing if able !!
