Hello i'm new

Hi
My name is Kiki and I was about 12 when I first started to show an interest in Sindy. It was my older Sister Rhiannon who started the obsession! She had a few old Sindys as a child which she got from Carbootsales etc. Anyway I knew what Sindys looked like and I found some at a bootsale one day. It was only when my Mum brought home the Superhome from a Charity Shop that we properly started to collect. We went on the internet and started looking for furniture and Dolls to put in there. Now although i'm 14 years old, I am addicted to the Pedigree Sindys and all of their beautiful fashions. We have over 150 Sindys-far more than we ever intended! But there is so much to collect. Me and my Sister enjoy rerooting Sindys and making outfits for them. I love talking to other Collectors who have the same passion as me for this lovely Doll :-)

It is lovely to have younger members joining us who have an interest in Sindy ;D Hope you (and Rhiannon) will enjoy coming here to post and find out valuable information about Sindy in all her many guises. Pedigree did a FAB job when they made Sindy in the 60s. None of us would be here now if they hadn't made such an impression on us as youngsters
When you have found your way around the Forum and had a good look at each of the sections, you must post some pics of your dolls in the appropriate sections for us to see.

Welcome to the forum! Nice to read your collecting story. Sindy was my favorite doll all the way through my school days! I started collecting her again about 4 years ago. Look forward to seeing your Sindys.

Hello all

Thank you for making me feel welcome! Yeah we mainly collect the Pedigree Dolls but have a few more modern Dolls aswell. Yeah hopefully I will get some pictures of some of them on here soon for you to see When I first started to collect, I never thought there would be so much to get! I never thought this hobby would be so addictive either haha We have enough and still there is always that one Doll which is so beautiful which we just have to have for the collection LOL It's lovely to meet more Sindy collectors and hear their stories too

i love the doll i got from you, she is so professionally done, she is amazing, you are so talented.

i wish i was lucky enough to find a sindy doll house at a boot fair... i feel like i have found a treasure when i find something sindy at a boot fair, it is such a good feeling when you have saved something that may have been put into the rubbish

Hi Dee! Gla you like the reroot-I must do some more for myslef soon, I have loads of nice colours here Yeah it's great find Sindys at the booter. We have had a baragin with our 4 Sidepart Sindys-I found a blonde at the bootsale for 20p and an Auburn (in a terrible mess!) for 10p which think would have been binned if I didn't get her! Rhi found another blonde and auburn along with 2 70's Barbie's for 99p in Charity shop so we were lucky not having to pay loads!

I think it's because teenagers are worried are what their friends think-I've had that problem but I just don't worry anymore what anyone thinks because it's a great hobby and I love it LOL

Hi Zoe! Ahh well we are trying to cut down on buying so many! It's not working though haha I think we are focsing more on the 70's Dolls now as they are our favourites but we are still buying the others when we see one we don't have Yeah we collect Vintage Barbie too but that is so much more expensive than Sindy errr! We have Tressy, Tammy, Pippa, Jem and a few other odds but it's mainly Sindy and Barbie.
