Hi,
To be honest it never actually occurred to me to join a forum and now I'm thinking what took me so long. My mum thinks I'm mad, but it's nice to be surrounded by people who get my love of collecting Sindy's. I love dressing them in vintage clothes and outfits that my friend makes for me.
I'm going to share something with you that only Sindy fans will understand. I have a flickr and I was doing a photo shoot in my mum's garden with my Sindy's, using props and back drops. I shot one balancing on a photo frame, which was suspended in the air. I felt like a proper photographer, positioning the girls in there poses. My mum looked at me like I was crazy, but I'm really pleased with the results ;D.
Recently I was lucky enough to interview Helen Carter who has a Sindy in the Sixties exhibition at the Museum of Childhood. I'd advise any Sindy collector to check it out if you can.
Take care www.t5m.com/uprising/sindy-in-the-sixties.html (pls feel free to leave any comments)

Hi there! Welcome to the forum. I read your article, congrats on that,it's a good little read. I'd love to visit that museum one day. They did have a few Sindy dolls on display in the museum here in Sheffield last year though, 1970s/80s ones I think and also there was a Space Fantasy Sindy on display when they had a space themed exhibit on. Hi,
Thanks so much for leaving your comment on the site Lisa, it was much appreciated. ;D It really needs to be seen, it's amazing and it's put together in a way that really shows just how fabulous she is. It's set up in little scenes, set on the back drop of images that reflected the 60s. I know I can say this to you fellow Sindy fans, but since doing my article, I'm really loving and appreciating my vintage Sindy's now. I still get really nervous and my heart starts beating real fast and I still have that sick feeling when I'm bidding on a Sindy I really want. Can anyone else relate?
Kisses
