Hi Anita, I am a little shy, ..but my name is Anna, and i'm from south Devon
I got my first sindy after seeing a beautiful one from a new freind of mine. I think these dolls are so unique, i only had the one doll as a child, but now i'm older i see the beauty of them that much more.
I try to get the minty sindy's if i can afford it
hope that's better .... lol

Hi Anna and welcome to the forum It is a great place for us all to share our love of our dolls, and great for any queries you may have. I am familiar with South Devon as we used to holiday in Hope Cove for many years while I was growing up - visiting Kingsbridge, Totnes and the lovely Salcombe. It all feels like going home whenever I go back there. ;D Look forward to chatting with you. Love Lisa xxx

Faboulous Dolls Anna!! ;D Love how you've got them displayed I live near Exmouth - we're just down the road from the Marine Traning Camp. My other half works there as a civilian now but was in the Royal Navy for a lot of years Nice to see someone else who likes the Sad-faced miniature Sindys too. Your brunette is gorgeous and I love her dress It's also nice to see that you like Teddybears and aren't afraid to show them off either!! I absolutely adore bears Well, you've landed in the right place at the right time I'd say - we'll soon be taking pics of our girls dressed for the colder weather and then dressed up to the nines for Christmas. Hope to chat more with you across the Forum boards Anna but nice to have you aboard Luv Anita xxx

thank you Anita. I like to keep them clean.
there's no miniature sindy's in there ?? ..the 2 small girls on the top are both Pippas'
and the other shorter girl is a curly haired patch.
is it posible to thicken the top of patch's hair ...as she's getting a bald spot as thats' how i bought her at our local toy fair or is it best to leave her as she is.
btw i can't do re-roots i'm not confident so am not going to try

Hi Anna On your top shelf you have three Sindys as well as your Pippas: you have an Auburn, then you have the blonde Shaping Up sindy in plaits and the brunette next to her is called a Sad-faced Miniature because her head is a good bit smaller than a regular Sindy head which often looks quite puffy around the cheeks!!. The bodies used on the Sad-faces are the same height as a regular Sindy though. These are mainly made in Hong Kong and are 80s Sindys. I have 12 of these lovely beauties!! The head is rather hard, so should be softened gently with the use of a hairdryer or warm water whenever you need to get her head off. Don't try and get the head off without doing that first whatever you do as you're likely to break the neck-knob off!! I did that twice when I first stared collecting these girls many moons ago. Here are a few of my sad-faced miniatures wearing some lovely One of a Kind dresses made by Lisa/Greentrixiepixie, just one of our many talented members A xxx

:)Hi Anna
Welcome to the forum. both my partner Kevin and I are doll passionate. We have thousands of dolls between us and my flat is chocker crowded with them everywhere. Not all Sindy as i am a dollholic and love Barbies too, also toddler dolls, babydolls and porcelein dolls which i have a huge amount of too.
I love your minty little collection looking all spruced and perfect in the cabinet.
Carl and Kevin xx

Lovely collection Anna, and I am SO envious of your lovely cabinet! My dolls are dotted around my bedroom - I wish I had somewhere nice to keep them dust free. Hopefully one day ...
Love Lisa x
