I am yet another newbie come to join your masses. Call me Snow
I'm from the UK. I am in my mid 20's = a child of the 80's, who, of course, is a doll fan!
Sindy played a big part in my love of dolls, she was the first doll that I owned which I really loved. I was more likely to be running around pretending to be a Thundercat for most of my childhood but I will never forget finding a boxed kitchen set at a car-boot sale and the hours of fun I had with it. I proceeded to then collect every bit of doll related 'junk' that I could find and soon ended up with boxes full of vintage items which I played with all the time. I dread to think these days about what I might have had as a kid. Doll love took a backseat until I hit my late teens and one day browsing discovered asian dolls. Fast forward around 8 years later... I collect a huge range of dolls! My favourites are Licca, Dollfie, Blythe, The little apple dolls and recently I am back with a modest collection of Sindys!
Outside of dolls I spend a lot of time creating - art and writing being the biggies. I have a few pets in my life, the most recent a rescued Saluki Cross who I've had for two months now. Last week she got her first Sindy(hasbro) for 50p from a jumble sale! (I kid you not, she adores dolls. I have to watch her carefully with them but she mostly just does a bit of hair styling;) )
So, I think I have talked enough! I look forward to getting to know everyone, bye for now
