I'm so excited to have found a site where I might be able to get some help identifying my Sindys age and outfit. I received her one Christmas morning from my Grandparents and I have loved her ever since! Barbie couldn't compete with my love of Sindy, and despite having shared a skipper, daisy and barbie with my sisters, Sindy remained my first love! Sindy was manufactured in new Zealand in the 1970's so there is a chance that some of the outfits/dolls produced differ from those overseas. But I'm hoping that those of you who have collected New Zealand outfits and dolls may be able to help me out. I'll post my questions in the forum where those queries are placed, and I would so appreciate those who may be able to help having a look for me. I have bought a two auburn Sindys in my quest to see what she looks like with lovely glossy hair! and was thrilled to recently get a ballerina Sindy with her outfit intact - I actually squealed when I unwrapped her as the outfit was a bonus suprise ... especially seeing her darling ballet shoes.(everyone else thinks I'm lame - but perhaps you will all relate! LOL) I really look forward to enjoying the boards and benefiting from everyones expertise... x suze

Hi Suze
welcome aboard. I have tried to help with your dolly quest too. And yes I know the feeling when you clap eyes on the ballet slippers after all those years. My older sister has a her original auburn 76 ballerina and she screamed when I got her the ballet outfit for christmas and she is not even a collector
cheers nic

Hi Suze and welcome to the forum! ;D It's always lovely to have new people to chat to, and share our love of Sindy and other dolls. I think we all have a soft spot for the ballerina don't we? I have a mint brunette and I have rerooted my childhood Sindy and given her new lashes ... she looks lovely now! Welcome and look forward to chatting with you Lisa xxxx

Hi and welcome Suze.
Yes, this is a really friendly forum, and helpful too. We usually get our queries answered here (and if not, I usually feel a bit better not being the only one totally stumped - in fact it's quite nice to start a mystery)! ;D
Look forward to chatting some more soon.
Susan x
