Thanks Carl and Lisa xx My son is feeding them live crickets at the mo and hm yes you are right the female does eat the male but my son has two males though so they should be okay. I think they will get quite big Lisa and i will keep you updated with pics one of them has shed their skin already and is much bigger as my son has kept the endoskeleton I am not keen on them myself but he loves stuff like this ;D and he wants a Tarantula next much to his girlfriends dismay ;D as she hates spiders. Val x

I know Janee ;D ;D when my son showed them to me as i said where are they as i couldn't see anything ;D as they are so tiny at the mo. I will update pics when they get a bit bigger Val x

Hi Val, I could cope with the mantis they look interesting and only have the 4 legs and the 2 "arms" but not the spider I hate spiders even the really small one's. Lorlor.x.

These are now getting bigger as you can see they are strange little things as they have weird eyes Val x

Thanks for the update Val, I wondered the other day how the mantis were doing? their quite big now aren't they and as you said strange eyes! What do they eat now? still crickets? and do they have to be kept at a special temperature ? Lorlor.x.

Thanks Lorlor One of the earier one's died as it got kinda stuck when it was shedding it's skin to grow so Lauren my son's girlfriend got him another one so he still has the two now. They still feed on live crickets and some other stuff he gives them. They like moist damp places so he has to spray them with water so keep them damp The eyes seem to move around like little black dots. Val x
