Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long. I need some advise. I have a tiny tears doll which I would like to re-root but I'm not sure how much hair I would need. I like her hair to be just below shoulder length. Has anyone ever done a doll this size, suppose it's a strange request to ask Suzzy

Hi Suzzy - can't say I've ever rerooted a doll this size but I remember the doll. I think it might depend on where you buy the hair as some packets of hair are bigger than others. And I suppose it must depend on how she is rooted too. Have you tried contacting Robin at www.mylittlecustoms.com or Hannah at Retro dolls? They may be able to offer advice - sorry I can't be more help Cheers Janee xx

:)Hi Suzanne Not quite the same but my Kevin rerooted a Chrissy doll a while back. Its takes lots of hair, patience and long strong needles. He will be the best one for advice on how much hair for larger dolls as i dont reroot. Will highlight the query to him when we chat later.

Hi Suzanne The largest lady I have re-rooted so far is a Chrissy and this took quite a while. I used about one whole large pony tail of nylon for the hair and then almost one for the extension on that particular lady. I used pliers to pull the needles through as the plastic on the larger dolls seams to be harder to work with. I think however the are so rewarding when they are finished. Any questions other points or questions please ask, I will be only to happy to help if I can Kind regards Kevin x
