i';m not posting much these days...my doggy has had to over take my sindy passion recently. She's had numerous ops now and each one is really taking its toll on her. Her last op was just last thursday and she isn;t recovering well from it. The removed one tumour and the other they could touch, its attached to the chest wall and mammory glands. I find out on the 6th April if my poor dog has cancer or not... I'm still reading everything and keeping up to date with whats happening, just not posting much. dunno if i should've posted this in the pets section..... if its in the wrong place i know admin or the mods will move it to its rightful place. xxxx Donna xxx

Hi Donna, Keeping my fingers crossed for you, went through a similar thing with one of my previous cats around 10 years ago, so know the worry youre going through. Try and stay positve and give her even more love and fuss and treats than normal. Good luck... love Sam...xxx

Hi Donna So sorry to hear your pooch is poorly. Such a worrying time. I unfortunately never had children, so my little Westie (Poppy) is the love of my life (equal with my husband)! I've phoned the vet tonight, as just set up an early easter egg hunt for my friends 2 little ones and they rushed in to tell me Poppy was "acting werid". To cut a long story short she had obviously found one of the eggs and eaten it all up, foil wrap and all. I know that chocolate is really bad for little dogs so went into a right old panic. The vet said not to worry, just keep an eye on her. I know I won't sleep tongight in case she reacts, which is nothing compared to what you are going through. Judy xxx

oh Judy hope your dog is ok. Doggies are like kids....i know mine means as much to me as my two kids do... Monday is coming, and i've deciced that its best to think the worse becasue then any news other than the dreaded C word is better.

Donna, I hope that your dog makes a full recovery. As a dog owner too, I can understand how worrying it is when a doggie is unwell.
Judy, I hope that your dog doesn't suffer any ill effects from the chocolate egg. My dog (a lurcher) has been naughty and pinched chocolate sometimes and it's not made him unwell.

Thank you Liz - she seems OK, and been for her walk this morning with Daddy! I did ask him to tell me what "came out the other end" but I don't think he was up to that! Apologies if this is too much information, but he just told me he couldn't see anything shiny, but I'm not sure he would have looked that closely!
Donna I'll be thinking of you.
Judy xx

So sorry Donna... My friend was in a similar situation a few years ago but the good thing was her little dog had a lovely time enjoying her last days and passed to Doggie Heaven a really happy girl. I know it's hard, but provided she is comfortable and loved then just enjoy as much time with her as possible.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Donna I hope that, for however much time your dog has left, you can spend quality time with her and make her as comfortable as possible.
