Hi Everyone
I have finally started to find my way around this lovely Sindy forum (I joined last August but it takes me a while to figure things out) - must be my age!
Some of you may know me already as jayceecurios (on eBay) or Jaycee Curios (at Groovycart). My actual name is Judy and I might well be the oldest Sindy collector! I am 52 and have loved Sindy since my original 1964 Blonde, and the Brunette which was my sister's but she wasn't interested. I had some precious original outfits, which I still have (Yellow Bridesmaid, Skating Girl, Air Hostess, Country Walks,Pony Club, & Shopping in the Rain) and loved them so much I hardly played with them - just looked at them in wonder! Eventually they ended up being packed away for nearly 40 years! It was just before Christmas 2007 when my friend (knowing my love of our girl) found a boxed wardrobe in a skip and rescued it for me! It was full of bits and pieces and this re-kindled my love and interest and I started collecting like mad! I am now totally addicted and my ambition to is to complete the Sindy Paul and even Patch collection through the 1960s to the end of the 1980s.
To fund my "addiction" I list my duplicates and spares on eBay and Groovycart.
Relaly looking forward to chatting with lots of like minded people.
Love Judy x

Thank you Lisa!
Are you wanting to get the Skating Girl set? It's just that I do have some spares that I have just listed on Groovycart?

Thanks for the lovely replies I have received already - I know I'm going to enjoy being on here. I will work out how to download some of my fave outfit pics - I think I read somewhere that they have to be thumb nail size? Maybe someone could advise me on this before I go and mess anything up! Hi Judy Thumbnail sized pics would be good. Imageshack seems to be playing up, so I suggest using Photobucket just now as it's quite good and it does give you more choice of pic sizes from what I have already seen Hope that helps Anita xxx

Hi Judy and Welcome. It sounds like you are on to an awesome collection. Im in australia and love buying from groovycart too.
I would love to know which is your favorite Sindy from the 70's and the 80's. I love 70's 74 is my favorite year and probably the 74 od funtime my favorite, I am also drawn again to 84 shaping up and cutn style.
Imageshack may work - you upload the picture, once the picture appears, if you cut and paste the second code into your post called thumbnnail 1 i think, the thumbnail link should appear if you post or preview.
photobucket dot com is also great. You can sign up its free. You can then upload your pictures from there. you also get given an email address and can email your photos to photobucket. You can add the HTML code to your posts and the pictures will appear when you post. The HTML code appears when you hover over the picture. You can then add the HTML code from photobucket to your ebay listings for unlimited big free photos in your description.
cheers nic

Hi Nic Thanks for that useful info about uploading photos. I will give it all a go. I'm not very good at identifying my Sindy dolls - this is something I hope I can learn from this forum. I have 2 which I know are original 1960s dolls - 1 blonde and 1 brunette Made in England. I am not sure of the identity of my others - they are all so pretty. I will put their photos on here when I have worked out how to do it, along with some of my fave outfits. I love all the outfits and accessories - but apart from the 1960s I can't work out which outfits go with which doll! I also have 2 1960s Paul dolls (with the moulded hair). I had one with hair, but didn't like him so sold him on eBay - it was something about the hair I think and his eyes looked strange ...LOL oh! yes, and a little Patch with a bad haircut - but she is very sweet.! I'll try and sort out photo thing soon. Judy xx

Thank you soooo much. ;D Right then, I will get the girls (and boys) ready asap. I'll make sure the unidentified girlies are all "decent" but can still be seen properly (I read somewhere that you can identify some of them more from their body shape than their faces - is that right). They will all have clean undies! Be back soon. Judy.

Hi All Well I think I have managed to download some pics to Photo Bucket! I will now try to get them on here! There should be 3 (fingers crossed). One is an Unidentified Sindy in Blue Undies, the 2nd is my 1960s collection (1 blonde Sindy, 1 brunette, 1 Patch and 2 Pauls) Both Sindys have Made in England on the back of their heads, one Paul has Made in Hong Kong on his back and I can't see any markings on the other Paul (who's body seems darker than the Hong Kong one). The 3rd is my other unidentified Sindys. Look forward to finding out their true identies. All I know is that they are very naughty girls as none of them wanted to put their knickers on!!!!! They are probably all the wrong sizes for them - hopefully I'm about to find out. Here goes.... Judy Ju

Well, I seem to be making a right mess of this photo down load thing! I've just tried to add the pics in the Identification Section as suggested, but just got a lot of link info. Tried again and got this link below: s724.photobucket.com/albumsMaybe it will go straight to the album on Photo Bucket...who knows! I'll keep trying! Judy xxx
