::)Hello everyone. I have been looking around the site and it has made me feel about 8 years old again. I had forgotten how much fun Sindy and my imagination could be. Unfortunately most of my Sindy collection ( back in the 60's) has disappeared over the years but I held on to my daughters collection from the 80's. My best Sindy/Paul memory was when Paul got a new head and the shop where I had just bought my molded head Paul contacted me and asked if I would like a new hairy head for him. What excitement and what customer service. Where has it now gone? Anyway to move on, sadly due to my changing circumstances I no longer have the room to keep Sindy and her friends and I am looking for a loving home for them. However I am so pleased that now I have found this site I can have a virtual Sindy collection and relive the 60's and meet up with other Sindy fans. Thank you to all who post on this site ;D

Hi Dottydi It was good to read your story. ;D Why not just keep one or two Sindy dolls that mean something to you, plus one or two favourite outfits but still sell the rest on as you plan to? You'd have the best of both worlds that way You sound as if you had Sindy around the same time as me- early/mid 60s - or maybe just a bit later. I had probs with my very first Sindy's head coming off, which Pedigree fixed with a brand new head but they also sent my Mam a free Sindy for me as well to make up for the defect in the first doll, so I ended up with both a 1st Edition blonde and 2nd Edition blonde, so I just had to add a brunette later in '64!!! As you say, those were the days when Customer Service and reputation meant something Look forward to chatting again soon, Luv Anita xxx

Hi Dotty Welcome to the forum..I really enjoy reading the postings and hearing everyone's news. I am interested in Anita's reply regarding her 1960's doll who's head broke. My doll has the collar type head with the long neck and it also broke. Pedigree sent me a new head fOC...however this means that my doll does not have any makers marks on her at all - could this be correct ?? or have I got a clone !!
Look forward to chatting with you all

Hi Dotty Di,
My Sindy head broke but my Mum didn't think to contact pedigree, she got my granddad to fix it - not very well though. All I remember was she had pink ribbon permanently tied round her neck and the neck now much shorter than it should have been, making her look like she was shrugging her shoulders.
By the way - welcome to Sindy Online!
JIll x

Hi everyone you have really stimulated the grey cells for me. I had forgotten that the first Sindys did have a particularly longer neck and if I remember rightly it was sort of shaped, I suppse ths is one of the reasons they shortened it.......................she thought she was Anne Bolyn and kept losing her head I also want to say a big hank you for the warm welcome, this is such a friendly forum Have fun everyone lol Dotty di xx
