hi there, my 2 girls started horse riding lessons a few monthes back and love it. ophelia, according to the instrustor is a natural and sits well on horse??( i just thought if you held on that was good!) and poppy also adores it.
does anyone have any knowledge they could share with me regarding clothing etc what they need .

may be asking about horse purchases in future if they stick at it.

We have a horse, although he is a 32 year old Australian Stock Horse. Billy hasn't been ridden in years due to his advanced age. He shakes his head from side to side, like no, if you put your arms across his back like you were going to mount him ;D ;D Don't know if I could offer you any advice though, being on the other side of the world we probably don't do things much the same as you guys

Hi Penny I used to ride as a kid and my girls keep badgering me to let them go. I have no idea of current pricing, but in my day you needed a pair of jodpars, hard hat and pair of riding boots as the basic set up, it was down to choice and your budget (as with everthing) whether you stuck with the basic plastic boots, or opted for the more expensive leather. Mind you from what I remember as we also got involved in the mucking out etc. we all decided the plastic boots were easier to clean off...(if you get my point).
