Hi Amanda, Welcome to the forum Wow, over nine hundred dolls! That's amazing Do you have a favourite decade for vintage Sindy? I began by concentrating on the 1980s, but keep getting distracted by all those lovely 1970s items... and the 1960s outfits... ;D Hope to speak to you soon, Liz Hiya Liz, Actually I recentley had a sort & tidy day...so, I decided to count all the dolls in my house(Oh! What an exciting life she has...I hear u mutter!!!) I have 1,100 dolls...time to sell some I think, although knowing me, if I go anywhere near Ebay...a few more will be moving in! LOL! I love the 70's Sindys & gear, reminds me of my childhood...showing my age there! Not too fond of the 60's & I hate the 80's fashions x =^.^=

Hi Amanda Welcome to this very friendly forum. I've rerooted 2 Sindy's- an easier soft head 70s and a very difficult 68 sidepart with a tiny neck hole. My faves are 60s dolls and it would be a bore if we all liked the same wouldn't it.
Anyway I'm really looking forward to your rerooting and OOAK pics.
Enjoy the forum. Luv Bronnie x

I love rerooting the softer headed Sindys, I haven't tried the harder heads (think I'm just lazy), I think I'll experiment on my own collection before rerooting a OOAK! x =^.^=

That is very impressive (I have about twenty vintage Sindy dolls at a rough estimate!) Some of the 80s fashions do appeal to me, but with others, I feel as if Pedigree had run out of steam. There's a lot of lovely dolls from the mid-80s, though. I keep hoping a 'Shaping Up' Sindy, for example, will come my way on eBay ;D
