Another Newbie

Hiya All,

I did join this forum sometime ago but forgot to write a little intro about myself.

I'm not very good at writing profile thingys about myself so this will be short.

I collect most types of fashion dolls, my aim when I started collecting, was to have one of each doll that I liked...but that got a little out of hand...900+ dolls later & I now have come to terms with that theory falling flat on it's face cos the dolls are still moving in! LOL!

A few years back, quite accidentally, I tried my hand at rerooting a reject Sindy I'd bought on Ebay & was hooked. Now, I customise Sindy & sell my creations on Ebay, which is where I met that wonderful lady Hannah( she has bought 2 of my dolls).

I recently joined FB & have met some other fab ladies who all share my passion for dollies...so, I'm looking forward to making even more dolly friends here too!

Do you have a favourite decade for vintage Sindy? I began by concentrating on the 1980s, but keep getting distracted by all those lovely 1970s items... and the 1960s outfits... ;D

Look forward to seeing some pics of your reroots. So far I have completed one, I have one half done and am now about to start on a hard head one (my first hard head!!). She was a beautiful sad faced ballerina I found at a toy fair. All working joints, but she had been "groomed" by some little hands! I can't wait to get her back to her best.

Hi Amanda. I know exactly what you mean. I was the same. When you get the bug,it's set in big time. I collected so many various fashion and celeb dolls it got ridiculous. Kept them all in boxes,so they weren't even on show. Sold loads of them now,I got ruthless. I customise too Sindy's mostly too. xxx
