I'm sorry to hear that your dog has passed away, Marijke. My family and I have lost two dogs, so I can sympathize with you. Despite the sadness you feel, I hope that you have many happy memories of Punky.

I am soo sorry to hear that your dog Punky got a cancer that was incurable. It is not easy to have a dog put down. At least you gave him lots of love while he was alive and a lovely warm and caring send off just beforehand, which will help foster good memories for you and the family over time. He looked like a really great dog with a good temperament to me from the pic I had to take my Nan's dog - Rex - to our local PDSA centre to be put to sleep as Nan was too infirm with Cataracts at that time to do it herself. I was only 14, so they wouldn't let me stay with him and that upset me even more than having had to be the one to take him and I didn't speak to my Nan for a week after that as I was so upset! Take Care Marijke and remember the good times you had with Punky Luv and Hugs Anita xxx

Thank you for your kind words....
It was really hard to do, but it was the last good thing we could do for her. Punky had a really nice, soft and playfull karakter......she was even nice to my cats.. My daughter Hilde(14 years) was present and she had to cry hard, that was really sad to see. She was crazy with this dog. But I think it´s better for her. Punky will be cremated and Hilde wants a small hanger with some ash in it. The rest of the ashes we are going to spread in the wood where we took her for a walk. It will be a nice private titual to remember her.
