How lovely to have all these welcomes! What a friendly bunch everyone seems to be.
Just one question I would like to ask (not sure if this is the correct place though), I may have a few items for sale, how do I go about "advertising" these please? All advice most welcome.

We have a Sale/Swaps section towards to the end of the Forum and you can post about your items there Please post pics along with any information about the items, so we have an accurate idea of what you are selling A xxx

Well funnily enough I never really decided exactly - I was siging into a website (some considerable time ago) and when I discovered I needed a user name it suddenly came to me! I've used it since.

One other question I should have asked earlier, is there anywhere that may give me some idea how much to ask for the various items I may wish to sell. I've had them since childhood and have no idea whatsoever as to what is reasonable.

Hello Pansypeach! Welcome to this very friendly forum. Looking forward to talking to you on here I'm afraid I can't help you with guide prices, although I'm sure other members here will know what's what. There are doll pricing books offering guidelines, but am not sure which ones may be relevant to Sindy. Liz

Thank you Liz. Probably the items I'm going to sell will be more along the lines of Sindy's furniture - sofa, chairs, etc. Thanks again though for your reply.

Hi Pansypeach - welcome to the forum - look forward to chatting to you in the future. Pricing for things is really difficult to advise as most items are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it! Having said that there are certain dolls that are more highly sought after than others and so generally it is accepted by collectors that in order to get one of said sought after items you will have to pay for it! I would say that the best place to start is to try and identify the items you have first, then have a good look at ebay to see what sort of prices similar items go for. The collectors on this forum may be able to help you to identify your collection as well as various websites such as www.mysindy.com or www.petradolls.co.uk or www.sindy-dolls.com. For collectors on this forum to id stuff for you - I suggest some good up close photos of faces, naked bodies and any markings on dolls neck at the back, and markings if any on the dolls body (things like 033055x or the word sindy and 033055x or 033029 etc etc) Hope this helps - cheers Janee xx
