After having had him for a few weeks, he is settling in really well! He is a little poorly still but a wonderful woofie. He is a rescue dog and we have been told he is 13, however, the vet thinks he is more like 10ish He was severely neglected by his past owners ~ he had fleas which went untreated and therefore led to a severe allergic reaction where he scratched so much that his whole back was red raw and the fleas were getting UNDER his skin ~ when he was first bought to the Dogs Trust they thought it was mange it looked so bad. On top of that he had horrificly infected ears ( i am talking pus and grossness) and was under nourished aswell as aneamic (sp?). His fur has all but grown back now and his ears have cleared up so he is nearly all better! We still are treating his skin twice a week and giving him ear drops, antibiotics & anti inflamatorys every day How anyone could have let him get to the state he was in is beyond me, he is such a good natured dog and always wagging his stump! here he is EATING my blythes hand LOL They are holding hands? LOL Even 10 minutes later he was after that hand of hers! LOL

Aaawwhhh bless him Robin.
Its lovely to know that after the horrific time with the severe neglect with some rotten 'never should have a pet' owners to have found your loving home to rest out his days in peace and love.

What a lovely dog.
I hate it when people treat animals bad there is no need they needs us to fed and love them.
We had 2 rescue dogs deuce who was left alone for 12 days with no food or water he has died now.
And Sally who is blind but we have had her 13 years and she still is going strong. Just don't move the furniture!

;DRobin he is precious..I am in tears as I know how it feels to save an animal from abuse. They seem more precious to us as we are the ones that truly love them. I hope he is with you a loong long time. Blythe has taken to him ;D ;D ;DI am not sure if the feeling is mutual I love his markings he looks like an English Spaniel . His sweet face is adorable makes my heart melt. His eyes are intuitive and bright, he knows he is loved. Carolxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a beautiful dog, Robin. I'm pleased he's doing so well after a horrible start to life.
Fab pics too, Charlie looks made for Blythe.

Ohhhhhhhh Robin he's absolutely scrumptious. It made me feel all sad reading the story and when I saw his cute little face at the end I just melted.
He's been through the mill, but at least he's got a loving home now. Give him a cuddle from Bronnie!

Oh Robin, how could any one hurt a doggie like that? they need to be locked up! one of my westies is a rescue dog we got Archie at 6 months old, we don't really know what happened but he hides when we have company, only coming out when he feels safe, normally only with women. Walking him is a nightmare he circles alot and can't cope with crowds at all and cowers if a man aproaches him and children are a no no he is so scared. we've had him 3 years now but even with alot of encouragement he has not improved, but he is so loving towards my hubby and I and our other westie. Well done on giving him a good home it's hard work but well worth it for all the love you'll get in return. Lorlor.x.
