Hi everyone, I was a Sindy fan when I was young (and while I only had a couple of dolls, it was my all time favourite). I had two active Sindy's one blonde and one brunette.
I came across this forum during my search for an active Sindy like one of the ones I used to have.
I now have a daughter who has just turned one and really want her to have a doll like the one that meant so much to me. Its funny how you never realise how precious things from your childhood are - there are a couple of things that I have such fond memories of that I wish I had kept them safe.
So, I am frantically looking - if anyone has any advice or ideas (other than ebay - as I always seem to lose), please feel free to let me know.
I am located in Perth, Australia
Cheers, Lisa

Hi
welcome to the forum. I know exactly what you mean about your old toys.....I wish my kids understood as I know they will regret their heavy hands...
I am sure we can all help you start a collection again. scotty has some nice bits for sale and usually has some dolls. Her site is dazed by dolls. If you click the member profile there should be a direct link. Then there is retro dolls. Hannahs site.
And of course you can write a wish list on here and see if we can help you we are all really friendly and sindy things are being exchanged all the time across the world.
Hope that helps. # Zoe

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the forum! Your story sounds SO similar to mine. My little girl will be 2 in a couple of weeks. It's since I've had her that I have started to re-collect my Sindy's and Sindy clothes from my childhood. She plays with my dolls (under supervision ;D) and is fascinated with the dolly clothes, so I'm hoping that she'll end up sharing my love for Sindy.
This really is a wonderful forum and the people on her are SO lovely and helpful. I'm sure you'll find loads of help and advice.
Take care and hope to speak soon,
Ineke xxx

Welcome Lisa I know what you mean about not realising how precious things are until much later. Oh, if I think about my Sindy's and other dolls that ended up being thrown out... never mind, I have a fabulous collection now. Let us know what dolls you are looking for and maybe one of us can help you out. Do you know from which year(s) your actives were from? Enjoy yourself on the forum!! Rachel

Welcome Lisa
Another member from the Australian land. All are brave who live there, they have the dreaded snakes. Hope you manage to get back some dolls. There are BIN options on ebay and like Zoe suggested lots of collectors offer dolls when they are pruning collections.
Carl xx
