Does anyone else watch this with avid interest at all? Michael Aspel is retiring soon and the new Presenter is going to be Fiona Bruce apparently!! I love it when Bunny Campion appears and there are Teddybears on the show! A xxx

It's huge over here Anita! For years it's been carried by one of our major broadcast companies, and it is watched and loved by young and old alike. We've even had them come over here and film a few shows on location in many cities! I think it would be greatly missed if it were ever cancelled. You'll laugh but Coronation Street has also had a big following in Canada for eons--used to be a Sunday morning must see!!! Another show I am following is one with David Emanuel of the former Emanuel design team (for Princess Di's dress and later for Sindy)--he has a new program called 'Shop the World' which is carried on our Fashion Television...Take care, Frances

Hi Sue One springs to mind - a good few year ago a lady in Chepstow showed a really tiny China teapot and it was worth a small fortune. She'd been keeping odds and ends in it! I thought she was going to have a heart attack when they told her the value of it!! ;D The ones that make me cringe though are the ones that think they have something marvellous and it turns out to be a copy or a fake - the look on their faces then is priceless. I did feel sorry for the ones who weren't sure what they had as they are ususally the ones that look the most crestfallen, but some of the monied people look angry and those I don't feel sorry for. I used to love watching Arthur Negus as he was so interesting and informative A xxx

We get it down here in Australia too. I love the show and also love it when they show me parts of the UK that I dream of visiting one day. We also get Bargain Hunt. I enjoy that too. Wish we had antique fairs down here like you do

I dont know if this will jog anyones memories, when the antiques roadshow came to sheffield and two of my work friends went, one of them, Sue, brought her vast amount of Sindy outfits, mostly 60's, some boxed. It was valued at£1000 i think, she got onto the telly, talking to the lady who is a doll expert. I saw sue last week and obviously im more of a sindy collector now so we had a chat about it. Sue said to me " i have a massive box full of that other girl...she has freckles, think its sindys sister or something" i said...thats Patch! You should have taken those too! She has a few MIB and what sounds like a Poppet doll MIB..i advised her to go and get them valued/insured. They are stuck in a garage! I think they will all be going to her grand daughter, shes only 6. Lucky girl!!
My other friend Chris, on the same show brought her 1960's diary in. She brought this into work once and i read it page to page, its really funny (met fred he wants to take me on a date he's so groovy etc etc ) Whats different about this diary is that accross several pages its been written and scrawled on by...The Beatles! All 4 of them. She met them in a hotel and they all wrote things in her diary..including signiatures, which have been verified. John lennon wrote the most. How cool is that? Chris said Paul was the least chatty...perhaps he had a hangover!

I follow it here in Canada.. A couple of 63 Sindys were there and they said that the condion theywere in could fetch upwards of 450 dollars each.
My Sindys were in better shape, the only problem is getting to where they are shooting that week.
