Anyone, besides me and my other half (who has a vested interest as he works at the base this was filmed at) watching this? Apologies for the bad language if you are, it seems to be the only way that the important info will stick in the minds of the recruits!! One of the trainers - Corporal Matt Adams - is a personal friend of ours and he has since become a Marine Officer, so he must have done something right!!LOLOL The recruits really did need showing basic hygiene and stuff as they'd not had to fend for themselves prior to joining up! Looking forward to seeing how many lasted the course and became fully fledged Marines and earned their Green Berets 'Nita xxx

Hasn't anyone been watching this?!! It's getting good - they're down to 24 in the troop now, another lad - Terry John - was backtrooped tonight and I hope he stuck at it. I feel he would have made a good Marine and fair as a Peace Keeper - he had the right attitude to the job and for the job. The programme moves to Monday night as of next week. A xx

Hi Robin Commando was filmed last November and the narrator also did parts of the training with the lads!! Matt Adams (one of the Instructors) has since become an Officer and moved on from Lympstone, although he does keep in touch with Steve via work. In the last episode they were training on Dartmoor and two teams got lost. when their map reading skills went awry!! One lot bedded down and waited for daylight (which was the correct thing to do) The other lot got themselves into a bit of a mess!! They were also taught how to kill chickens and rabbits humanely in that episode, so they'd know how to survive in any terrain. I couldn't watch that bit though as I am fond of Rabbits as pets Luv 'Nita xxx

Hi Robin Steve works at the Marine Barracks, so he has no choice about watching it as the Department he works in talk about it and one of the lads he used to work with - Matt - was one of the Instructors. They showed part of the department Steve works for in the last episode - you could here Anne's voice in the background - she was the civilian storekeeper in charge of the Training Store area where the Recruits get kitted out with all their clothes. Anne retired just 2 weeks ago and our friend Lisa is now in charge of it. Steve works in the Naval Store Section and he's now the Civilian Storekeeper in charge of sending all their Military and Personal gear that's too heavy to carry with them on when they get posted anywhere. He's also in charge of sorting out their accounts when they lose stuff, as some of it is very expensive and they get heavily fined for losing stuff like that!! Two years ago they were that short of Naval Storekeeping Personnel at the Barracks that Steve went back into uniform for them as a Reservist until they could get serving personnel there. He ended up as a Reserve for 12 months!! Luv 'Nita xxx
