I am so pleased that this series is back at last, even if this will be the final series.

I haven't laughed so much in ages - I just love Phil Glenister as Gene Hunt - some of his sayings and his antics are just purely classic!! He does remind me of a Policeman that was known to my family years ago
Watched the next episode on BBC4 as we simply couldn't wait for Tuesday!!

For anyone who hasn't seen Series 1 either, you really don't know what you've been missing - it is just brilliant!!

Well we're nearing the end of the series....only 2 more episodes and we're told this is the last ever series, how will it all end?

Is Sam in a coma?
A time traveller?
Been abducted in space?
Completely mad?
Some other weird reason?

Steve and I are just loving this series and wish it didn't have to end - haven't laughed so much in years!! Will probably have to get it on DVD later on!! Some of the sayings that Gene keep coming out with are just hilarious. Yeah, the music takes me back to my teens Claud ........ heady days!

What a fantastic series this has been, and what a great ending. Not quite sure whether Sam died or went back into his coma. the BBC POV'ers are not sure either.

I think I LOVE Gene Hunt!!!! Luckily he will be back at Christmas with a LOM spin off called 'Ashes To Ashes'.

I am feeling all nostalgic now, I'm off to read my Jackie annual and to drool over David Cassidy (as he was then)!!

Yeah! DC was a real stonker then - very droolworthy Yvonne So was David Essex - I loved That'll be the Day.... cue for a 70's thread I think
