Thought I would say hello to you all only just stumbled across this site this evening. About to start work on an old sindy of mine. Poor things hair has been cut off by an aspiring hairdresser. (I was 7) She is the 1984 starlight blonde sindy. she used to have crimped hair. Dont no what I have let myself in for!

Hi Frostypants ;D
Welcome to the Forum! You will soon feel at home and make friends. ;D Everyone helps each other with ID of dolls, clothes and collecting in general. That's what I love about it!! ;D
I have only recently joined this site too, but have been collecting for a while now and consider myself still a novice!! I don't think you ever stop learning something new about Vintage Fashion dolls. Sindy is an enigma - every day you learn something new about her!!
As to your doll with the 'tash - you might like to try using an old toothbrush and some Fairy Liquid to start with to see if that helps first. ;D
If that hasn't helped to shift the pen marks, then you might need to try using some Oxy 10 on the 'tash. Just dab it on lightly over the area affected and leave the doll in sunlight - what we have of it, that is - for a few days, checking it every so often to see what is happening.
You may need to repeat the process again, until it has gone, but, go cautiously so as not to destroy her facial colouring! Hope this helps!! Good luck with the re-rooting too!
Love Anita xx
