Hi My name is Bronnie and I've just been introduced to Sindy Online by Hannah who has been giving me advice on rerooting. Others have already said it, but it's a delight to know there are so many other Sindy fans out there.
I've always loved Sindy and had my first brunette doll back in the mid 60s dressed in 'Weekenders' outfit. Sadly this dolly's neck broke so my mom sent her back to Pedigree for repair. Can you imagine my glee when I opened the parcel to see that they had replaced the head with a stunning auburn sidepart! As a liitle girl I used to study the Sindy brochure and it's been lovely to rediscover all those beautifully made outfits again. Because of this I am a real fan of the very first dolls from 1963-69. I've been collecting for a few months now and have been amazed at how well made some of the first outfits were with linings, etc.
I'm just becoming interested in rerooting- mainly because I ruined one of my sidepart's hair and need to rescue it! I'm also interested to find out how to repair fingers too.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Bronnie

Hello Bronnie, Welcome, it's nice to meet you I love the 60's Sindys too, they really are very special. It is amazing how well the outfits were made and how much thought went into everything. Good luck with the rerooting - I haven't rerooted a 60's Sindy (yet) but have a candidate waiting. Let us know how you get on? Rachel

Hello Bronnie - welcome to the forum. Lucky you to get your doll fixed by the Pedigree company. Your story helps explain some of those mystery Sindy's that turn up on Ebay with heads and bodies that don't seem to go together, perhaps some of them were 'fixed' by Pedigree ! Di
