Hallo from Greece

Hi every one, it is very nice to be in here.
I am 35 years old, I come from Greece and I believe that I am the only one in my country who remembers this lovely doll and has the desire to make a big collection.
You will all have to excuse my bad English, I will do my best.
My real name is Stella but most of the people know me as Lucretia and friends as Luc.
Since I am new to the community I am sure that I have lots of things to learn and any help from the old collectors would be the most appreciated.

Hi Luc and Welcome to our group! Cali mera (good morning or good day, right?--my memory is rusty???) I have many friends from Greece with whom I went to University here in Canada, and one of my former boyfriends (a real 'looker' long before hubby came along ) was from the Greek islands--I am sure you will have loads of fun here and please do post some pics from your collection. I see Sindy dolls sold from Greece on Ebay all the time so I thought she may have been popular there. Welcome to what is becoming a very International Forum. We have members from quite a few European countries as well as members from America, Canada and Australia too

We are a lovely bunch that come here to share our love of dolls (and other items such as teddybears) and I hope you will soon get the hang of posting and feel very much "at home" with us all. There will always be someone willing to give you a helping hand to help you get to the information you need, but the best thing to do first of all is to familiarise yourself with the whole board and read as many of the topics you are able to that will give you an insight into how things work

When you feel comfortable enough with us, please post pics of your doll collection - we really do like to share pics of our collections with each other

Your Greek is great indeed! Thanks for the warm welcome. I am sure that I wll have lots of fun too in here.
I will gladly post some pics of my Sindy dolls collection. Just give me some time to take some good pics. Please if you see a Sindy doll sold from Greece at e-bay tell me about it. I am purchasing mainly from England via a friend because it seems impossible to me to open an account on e-bay! I have been trying for one month now! My dear Irish friend places bids on my behalf and I send her the money afterwards. However there are so many auctions that I have missed! I will need some time to explore a little bit the forum but you all girls seem to have lots of fun and I am truly glad for that!

I am realy glad that there will always be someone willing to give me a helping hand, I sure need it since I am a new collector and I do not have so many dolls. Pedigree Sindy dolls were rare somehow in Greece and very expensive when I was a child, and I could not aford to have lots of them back then. However now I am trying to get as many as I can.

Hi Luc--This is the seller I've seen selling from Sindy things from Greece--they seem to mostly list Hasbro Sindy things--I am not sure which era you collect. Here's a link to his store (I've never bought from them, so I have absolutely no idea what they are like to deal with--I just noticed he keeps listing).

Ah Frances thank you very much indeed. I have seen the sell/swap section and I think it is awesome! I would love to exchange or buy things from people here. I collect Pedigree and Marx Sindy dolls but I have lots of Hasbro which I do not want and perhaps someone would from this forum wants them. Thanks so much for the link. I will go and have a look right away.

Oh dear I have checked the things from the link! That person sells so expensive! Girls, Hasbro Sindy Dolls are very cheap in Greece at the moment! If there is something you need you can tell me about it and I will look for it, and tell you the price. There are clothes here mint in the box for Hasbro Sindy dolls that cost 1 or 2 euros!
