Hi . I am taking some time of work and plan to do a few ooak sindys..I love to look at all the ooak stuff on ebay some of it a bit weird and wonderful but great all the same. I haven't owned a sindy since I was a child it was a real blast from the past when a got one form ebay the other day.. I think I have got the idea of re-rooting the hair but I want to add a bit of makeup what is the best thing for face paint Thanks..Lisa..

Thanks Anita.. I think I need all the help I can get ..Last night I was working on a dress pattern for my ooak sindy ,I did think it would be easy but the pattern pieces are tiny !!! I am making a fitted bodice and full skirt for Gothic wedding dress..I did think that been in the wedding trade for years it would be easy but no..It was much easier to make clothes for sindy when I was a child ;D..

Hi Lisa Welcome to the forum and I'm sure you will enjoy your time with us all. I couldn't agree more with you about it being easier when I was a little girl to make sindy clothes I find my fingers get in my own way LOL ;D Hope to chat with you soon and would love to see some pics of your ooak designs

Hi Lisa! I'm a Newbie too. I'm trying to make wedding dresses as well ( not a goth one though!) Here's a piccie of my first attempt. I haven't shown the back because its not as neat as I'd like. What do you think? Let us have a look when you've finished yours. Melanie

Hi Melanie..Love the wedding dress..Its a fab first attempt.. I have been making wedding dresses for years and am finding sindy a challenge.. I did think it would be easy ?? just make the pattern pieces as I would normally make them only smaller.. I am making the bodice with panels like you would with a full size wedding dress.. if you like what I have done when I finish it maybe you would like a copy of the pattern pieces..

Ooh! Yes please. ;D
I think my main problem with my dress was the fabric was too thick. I've brought some books about how to make clothes from your body measurements. I thought I could use it on Sindy. We'll see how it goes.
