Hallo Every one!
I am new to Sindy On line!. Sindy brings back the fondest memories. I had a wonderful grandmother that lived on a farm 600 km in the country from me which meant I only got to see her once a year. we loved each other so much. she bought me my first sindy. it was mailed to me and it brings tears to my eyes remembering the joy of opening the package and laying eyes on the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, a blond ballerina. I can still see myself sitting in the back of our minivan opening up the box slowly, taking her off the card and feeling the weight of this awesome creature in my hands. i was in love. we played together for many years and I grew up...
a couple of weeks ago I sat remembering my special Gran and the wonderful doll. i know i would never see my Gran again but i wondered if the doll was still out there. to my great surprise i found Cheryl's website, when i saw sindy's face i was flooded by the warm loving memories of both women my lovely Gran and my beautiful doll. it was like coming home.....
i do not own a Sindy at the moment, but it is my mission to find a 1977 Active Sindy as soon as I can. this is part of a recapturing of a childhood happiness that was blurred by many bad experiences and just life in general. it is about bring home a part of me that i thought long lost.
thanks for this great site and association
