aye, her feet have gone MWAH HAH AAAAAAA i do get a sick pleasure from chopping body parts off toys, i wonder what that says about me? LOL

We have the plumbers round at the moment to flush out our central heating system ... ( yes, it seems we need 2 of them LOL ) and they looked most concerned at the naked half finished doll sitting next to me on the desk! LOL

I think i will have to try and crack on and finish today her so i can impress rather than scare the poor men folk! LOL

slight update ~ she has some paint on her tail but i am not best pleased with it at the moment

hopefully i can work on her over the weekend

Hi Robin--Wow, you've really made me rethink these dolls, and in a positive way--in fact, after looking at how you've transformed her, I yesterday went looking for my 'My Scene' dolls again--(slung in the closet I am ashamed to say ). Now I realize, having looked at your pics of this lovely lady, when you spend time reinventing these dolls (without all the styles they are 'meant' to wear), you realize just how lovely they are. This year, they've gone a little harsher on the makeup than previous issues, but all in all, the face mold is still so dreamy! You've done her justice as a mermaid--very amazing how well it suits the face. I think Mattel has a new My Scene line with mouths that actually move to make facial expressions--I thought I saw a commercial about it yesterday! Thanks for making me step back and appreciate them a little more--I just might grab me some and make a few over! Very inspiring--great makeover! Best, Frances

WOW Robin.

I love her. I really love My Scene dolls and have several. Of all the modern dolls on the market she is the one that has an esscence of beauty that seems to slightly say original Sindy to me even if she is a Mattel doll. I love mermaid dolls, my bathroom houses 10 of the mythical ladies. What a professional little lady she is looking already. Absolute devine.

i cant quite put my finger on what it is that i dont like ~ i think it is less fishy than i wanted it to look! LOL

i think i have to just leave her for a couple of days and then look again with fresh eyes
