Hello, I've never done one of these before so please bear with me! I collected Sindy's as a child in the '70's and have been looking at them on various sites for a while, I collect asian ball jointed dolls and Mattel My Child's as well as Blythe so i've been resisting getting into another type of doll but i've finally given in and now have 5 of the older ones and some of the scene setters and bits and pieces. I'm probably going to lurk and learn primarily for the time being until i get the confidence to join in a bit more..

Hello Angeldoll welcome to the forum. There is definitely something about the dolls you had as a child, they bring back so many memories and nostalgia! Don't hold back, everyone is keen to see and hear about your collection big or small. Every one here is very friendly and enthusiastic about dolls. It's quite quiet at the moment, I have been quite busy and haven't had much doll action lately, might try and have some time with the girls tomorrow. Have fun. Brigid x

Hi Fiona  Thanks so much for posting an Intro - it really helps us get to know you and you us  Posting an Intro is always nerve-wracking for new members but I am so glad you've done one.  I've given you the address of a website in the thread you started. I hope it will help you ID your Sindy as it gives information on several makes of the later Sindys from Hasbro onwards. Have a good trawl through the Identification section and the Hasbro sections as there are pictures of dolls belonging to members that might also help you. Hi & Welcome to the forum Angeldoll, Glad you've rediscovered Sindy. What sort of Asian ball jointed dolls do you collect? I've recently got into Licca dolls with the Pure neemo bodies. Like everyone says it's friendly here, so don't be shy at coming forward. Laurie |
