Was watching BBC 2 late last night. Was a programme on about 1979 and I caught the end of it. Who should pass on the screen but SINDY!!!!!!!! She came inbetween Madness and Bo Derek. A slot about the adventures of Sindy in Dolls House. Was that a programme on tv in England in 1979?  They showed about 2 minutes of Sindy and her friends playing Sardines. They were all in the Sindy home and then they disappeared and there was only one Sindy left looking for her friends. I was secretly hoping to see Sindy when I saw 1979 in the tv guide. Maybe some of you can shed some light on this. xxx |

I missed the programme. I'd was into Sindy in 1979 and am sure I would have watched any programme with her in it but I don't remember any.  |

We'll be watching this programme tomorrow, so I'll look out for that. I don't recall ever seeing Sindy programmes on tv back in 79. except on Blue Peter when they did the makes for them. Sindy also featured on Tuesday's cash in the attic when they sold a boxed wall of sound, 1980s kitchen unit, a wardrobe, sofa, chair, a boxed Trendsetter and an unboxed active Sindy for £75 at auction. This was over the estimate of £30-£50. |

Now I'm really gutted that I missed/didn't watch this show. 
I've just got Sky+ and haven't worked out how to watch one show and record another show, so I totally messed it up 
I keep hoping it will apear on BBC iplayer

I checked on iplayer for the cash in the attic episode but it seems only the previous few days programs are available, I guess cos it is on every day.
My daughter watched the prog covering the late 70s on iplayer but failed to spot Sindy! I was cooking dinner and she had instructions to call me when Sindy appeared but no luck!

I'm still trying to catch the re-run of Antiques Roadshow or Priceless antiques roadshow when Sindy was on It a few years ago. Does anyone know any details of which episode / series it was?  |

The sardine ad is on youtube,however it is the French language one,though identical to the one that was shown in England at the time.Love it!x
Also last week Sindy featured on Cah In The Attic,small collection went for £80 I recall!Also in on of the mags of the Chat ilk had a story of a woman who was left her friends Sindy[60s to 80s]collection.It helped her cope with the loss of her friend and now they have a prominent place in her house. meant to save it but it got recycled efore I had a chance!
Btw,put in Sindy advert on Youtube and several are there including the one I have mentioned x
