Hi all, my name is Penny and a few years ago I was on here pretty much every night! I was an avid collector and adored my hobby, however due to returning to work full time and money issues my wonderful sindys got packed away and put in the loft.....lucky for me my children seem to remember? and this weekend they asked if I would get my dolls down from the loft as they wanted to look at them. I was quite shocked as no one has mentioned them in nearly 2 years! We brought down the boxes and OMG GUTTED they so so smell musty?..!?!? we had so much fun looking and the dolls and all the outfits but sadly they have not stood the test of time well. The dolls really smell and the clothes they were dressed in. Their hair is really messy and needs re styling. Lucky the outfits not on dolls were put in a sealed container so they are fine ;D. anyway the point is having my dolls out of the loft has given me the sindy bug again. My girls are now old enough to help me wash the dolls and attempt to sort their hair, so that will keep us busy for next few weeks. I have promised my husband i will not buy anything until these dolls are sorted. ;D Hello to everyone and I hope to chat to you all again soon

Hello Penny, I joined in November at the same time I started collecting Sindy, and have been like an addict ever since, I am waiting for a calm down period, I am sure I will happen when the weather gets better!? Welcome back, I will look forward to chatting and seeing photos of you newly rediscovered girls! Brigidx

Hi Penny Long time no see!! Welcome back - hope you've been well ;D We've quite a few new faces here for you to get to know and some others to get re-acquainted with..... Glad your girls are now old enough to want to play Sindy with you Hope you get your dolls sorted soon... washing them in bicarbonate of soda and warm water might help first to cure the mustiness, but not with the girls about. Fairy Liquid in warm water to rinse them might also help and not harm the dolls or your girls skin I'd soak the clothes that are musty in warm water with mild liquid for a while Hope you'll join in with the Themes we've got going this year Luv Anita xxxx

Hi Penny and welcome back.
Great that you are able to share your girls with your daughters.
It should really be fun getting your dolls all 'dolled' up again.
Have fun and hope you enjoy getting back onto the forum.

Hello Penny, I don't think I've met you before but saw that you were once a regular poster and glad the Sin-bug has rebitten you.
