Hi - my 9 year old daughter has recently been bitten by the Sindy bug- fuelled by my own passion that had been dormant until now.....I was a true 70's Sindy geek- with loads of dolls, the house and all the furniture. My mum sewed and knitted me outfits - she's still got the patterns! Unfortunately a cousin inherited all my stuff when I stopped playing with Sindy so we are rebuilding the collection- I had no idea it would be so expensive!! Look forward to reading all your posts on here and maybe getting the chance to add to our new Sindy house!

You are most welcome here both of you - we do have a father, mother and their 7 year old daughter who post here regularly too, so you are in very good company It is absolutely adorable that you can share your love of Sindy from your childbood memories with your daughter now and begin to build a new collection that you both can enjoy. Do have a good read of the various sections and the past threads - you may even be able to answer some of the questions that have yet to be answered in some of them!! Please do have fun here - you're just in time to witness Secret Santa here - who knows - you might want to join in next year. We will be sharing Christmas & New Year Doll pics during the next few weeks or so and you are welcome to join in with that!! Luv Anita xxx

Welcome!
I hope you and your daughter have lots of fun with your collecting. If I had known then what I do now, I would never have given away my doll collection. But I have so enjoyed finding many of my old favourites again. A massive thanks to ebay, plus the odd car boot sale and charity shop for that!
You're right about it not being the cheapest hobby! Good luck!

Hello and welcome, I too am an early seventies Sindy girl who made clothes and knitted for my dolls. I don't have any of my original dolls, but been furiously collecting since the 1st November this Year! I have already knitted three jumpers for my new girls. You will have fun and lots of great memories in your journey of rediscovery! Enjoy.

Great that you two are collecting again. My daughters are busy with other things and don't look at their dolls anymore. Such a pity. I am now the one who plays with them. Great that you still have knitting patterns. Would be great to share them. Just love to knit and crochet dolls clothes. There is a pattern thread on here by the way........... xxx
