Hi there, Just posting my intro! My name is Mary and I've just these past few days been sorting out a dolls house for my daughter for Christmas who is 5. She was gifted a pile of 70s and 80s Barbies that she was hooked on. It was like someone opened a trapdoor and all these happy memories came flooding back about my own little dolls when I was younger. I didn't have many, just a couple of Sindys and Barbies in the 1980's but my friend had this dolls house which I used to covet. Trying to search out furniture for my daughter's house and I was amazed at how intricate and workable the Sindy accessories were. I'd love my own dolls house with all the mod cons, which makes me a bit odd I guess at 33, but there you go. I'm looking forward to hanging out and soaking up all the knowledge Mary

'... I'd love my own dolls house with all the mod cons, which makes me a bit odd I guess at 33, but there you go.' Er.... welcome to the house of oddness then! Hopefully, you'll feel right at ease!!!! Now, whilst I can't say I want my own doll's house, I can relate to that feeling of 'opened a trapdoor and all these happy memories came flooding back...' My memories are with Action Man, but it was fantastic earlier this year to watch my wife go through this nostalgic process with Sindy and Tressy. She finally caught me and our daughter (Hannah, 6) up - we've been playing, and making up photo stories for a couple of years now! So, welcome Mary - it gets even better from here on in!

Welcome Mary! I envy your daughter. I wish I could go back to my childhood days. I loved my dolls. Second time round, it's just as much fun, if in a different way. I'm enjoying collecting old favourites again. I hope you and your daughter have lots of fun.
