Hi everyone!
I've been collecting dolls for about 2-3 years now. I started just with furniture as I always wanted a doll house like my older sister. But I got hooked on the dolls after buying a Marie and a Space Fantasy. Downhill from there.
In Ireland you never really get Pedigree Sindy stuff in charity shops etc because I think a lot of it wasn't sold over here. So I spend a lot of time on Ebay :-) Good to get to know some of the sellers better here!

Welcome to the forum Becca. What era of Sindy is your favorite, just wondered if it was 1986 by any chance? Look forward to chatting to you. Jill x

@faeriegirl Thanks! You can have a peek at my collection on my Flicker: www.flickr.com/photos/smirky-becca/So addictive, whenever I'm home I look at my sisters house with the post-away sets like the hairdryer and think "I could pay as much as £30 for just this on Ebay!" and I probably will at some point! jill, it is now! I had never seen a Smirky until I started looking into Sindys about 2 years ago (up until then I was just interested in the furniture). I bought one to reroot and I just love her face! I think it's why I like the Marie doll too cos she has the same cheeky look! The only eras I'm not really in to is pre 1976ish, they go for a lot of money in good condition and the 1960s dolls are a little too baby doll looking for me. Anita and Poppygirl thanks! I'm sure a few mysteries will be solved for me here, I already found out I can use Milton to get rid of mould - genius!

Hi Becca, great to have you on the forum. Took a peak at your flicker photos. You have some beautiful dolls and of course the furniture. Absolutely great.
Liked the hint about the butter to get ball point off the Space Fantasy's face. Hadn't thought of that before. I use an acne cream and that works well for the mould but not the green spot. Seems to bleach that out.
I think you will enjoy yourself here. Have fun.

patricia The butter trick is an odd one that I found out about on another Sindy forum. It works really well on biro, ink or transferred dye. Just get real butter but a big blob on the problem area and then leave it on a sunny windowsill. You may have to reapply a few times but the stain should gradually fade. Thanks so much for the compliments on my little collection. It's usually packed away in a cupboard so I think the dolls are happy to be out in the sunlight!

Thanks for the compliments on the photos ;D
I love your scene Jill, I'm not very good at putting the dolls in and making it look like they are interacting. They tend to just look like they are leaning uncomfortably on something!

Hi Becca, I agree with you, it is ok when Sindy is standing at the sink washing up, but she is not very poseable. If you sit her down she tends to sit with her legs wide open.

She never has her eyes focused on the task at hand either!
